There’s not one single way or one some exact written rules for implementing monk mode, and sometimes people create their own strategies.

Here I’m gonna tell you a basic structure of monk mode with some rules to implement, but if you feel like making some changes to it, then by all means, go ahead.

Monk mode generally has 3 non negotiables. If you add more to it, it’s fine but having 3 is a minimum and recommended number. After these non negotiables, according to your needs in the present you can change them or add another 2-4 variables on top.

Non negotiables

  • No alcohol

I know this might sound weird but it’s true, for most of the people consuming alcohol, taking a break from it can be the best thing. You’ll develop some excellent will power and be more focused over time.

Bear with me for a second here. Some person has greatly said, if you don’t have the ability to do 20 minutes of meditation per day, that means you must meditate 20 minutes everyday.

Now here it’s about just 10 minutes.

Your focus and decision making abilities will improve a lot.

  • One 30 minute workout everyday

I don’t need to list the benefits of working out here because you guys already know. Some of the greatest male role models you will ever see on the internet i.e. Iman Gadzhi etc. always have a workout routine and are fit.

You don’t have to workout to be successful but it always helps.

For how long should monk mode last ?

In case you’re wondering if you have to do it for the rest of your life, then no its not true.

The minimum duration for which you should follow this is 21 days. You will not see huge results but your life will be better.

The minimum duration is not much but is enough to make good habits and to think about it, doing those non negotiables for even 5 days straight is not an easy task

Now if you want to see those results hat you need then the maximum duration would be 90 days, you can also do it for 45 or 60 days depending on your personal preferences.

After this duration ends, you can take some rest and admire how far you have come in life with monk mode.
